Shoulder surgery for Rahul

33-year old Rahul, the only earning member of his family has Obstetric brachial plexus injury from birth. He has been managing with constant physiotherapy and medication for the past many years and struggling with shoulder pain. He has been working as a marketing professional in a small organization, earning about INR 20,000 per month. His father is a heart patient who is no longer able to work. His mother is a housewife, and his sister is also not employed.

Recently Rahul met a doctor at Amrita hospital who confirmed that his shoulder issue can be cured with surgery. Both right and left shoulders need surgery, which would together cost INR 3-4 lakhs. Rahul underwent the first surgery on March 19, 2021 and is currently in the ICU. His friends and well-wishers are trying multiple means to collect funds before he is discharged, but they have met little success so far. The family approached MicroCharity for financial assistance.
