January 24, 2013 – Changanassery, Kottayam, Kerala - MCID-118/12-13

Mercy Binoy and her family requested our help for the heart operation of her mother. Her mother Ammini Juliet, 58 years, is suffering from Coronary Artery Disease – LMCA 60% stenosis with 3 Vessel Disease (Moderate LV dysfunction). She requires Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery as early as possible. The approximate estimate for the surgery is Rs.1,30,000/- according to Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery department of Pushpagiri Medical college, Thiruvalla in collaboration with Dr. K. M. Cherian Heart Foundation.

Mercy’s family is not financially capable of supporting this major surgery, and they don’t have any relatives to come to their aid. They are now staying at a small house temporarily given to them by a distant relative, and is in no position to help the ailing Ammini Juliet.
The Archdiocese of Changanassery has offered them Rs.10,000 and another organization has offered Rs.30,000, thus bringing down the shortfall to Rs.90,000.
