Beena Antony and her family are still struggling to get back on their feet after the recent floods in Kerala. They have a small two-storey house. The first floor is given on rent, and they are staying in the ground floor. Beena is running a single room shop attached to the house, selling grocery and dress materials. Their house and shop was completely submerged in water in the recent floods, destroying almost everything. They managed to move some of the dress materials to the upper floor before they were evacuated. But as fate would have it, these were stolen.

Beena has 3 sons, one is a seminarian, another just joined a small company after ITI, and the third one doing his graduation. Her husband passed away 5 years back. Her mother, Rosy aged 75 years, also stays with her. She now has to start from scratch re-establishing her shop, and restoring things at home. They already have a loan of Rs. 1 lakh which they have not been able to repay at all. Their monthly income is Rs. 8000 including rent from the first floor. There is no way the family can come back to normal life, without our help and support.
