Support for a critically ill man

Joseph Kavungal, a rubber-tapping worker and his two sons request your help at this time of extreme financial and mental trial for their family. Joseph was suffering from high BP. He recently had a fall and injured his head. He is unconscious and is on ventilator for a few days now. An immediate surgery is required to correct the internal bleeding, but his unstable condition has delayed the surgery. He is being treated at Indo-American Hospital, Vaikom.

Sony, his elder son is doing his graduation at Kuttikanam and Tony, his younger son is working as a trainee in a chemical company. They are very poor and cannot even afford electricity at home. The surgery would cost Rs. 2.5 lakhs. In addition to this, there are other expenses for medical tests, medication and ventilator charges. The family is requesting help from the government and other charitable institutions to raise fund for the surgery.

Mar 27, 2014 - Fund transferred
Joseph Kavungal passed away on March 20, 2014. He was in ventilator for many days. Since the internal bleeding couldn’t be controlled, the surgery was not done. Since the death occurred before we could transfer the fund to the hospital, the fund was transferred to the family.
